Become a Texas Master Naturalist! Our Mission: To develop a corps of well-informed volunteers to provide education, outreach, and service dedicated to the benficial management of natural resources and natural areas within their communities. The Big Country Chapter conducts a training class each spring. The class runs for approximately 10 weeks. Classes are a combination of lectures, field trips, and practical applications. Topics include those listed below.     Classes include training on: Geology and Soils Eco-Regions of Texas Native Plants Rangeland Ecology and more! 2010 Application 2010 Class Agenda The 2010 class begins this fall. Visit the Texas Master Naturalist site for more details. Dr. Emmit Miller teaches Master Naturalist members and interns about rangeland management. Training class tours native american pictographs at Paintrock.
